Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Mentoring Compass is a service of Mentoring Edge LLC, a Connecticut company doing business as Mentoring Compass. By using this website, submitting a form, booking a session, following a link to our books, or joining The Blueprint Vault, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or our services.

2. Services and coaching

Our coaching and consulting are advisory. We bring you a method, our experience, and our honest attention; you bring the execution. Leadership development, retail coaching, personal branding, and mentoring-program design all depend on how a client applies what we cover, so outcomes depend on your effort, your team, and your circumstances, and we do not guarantee any specific result. Nothing we provide is legal, financial, medical, or HR-compliance advice, and it isn't a substitute for a licensed professional in those areas. If a situation calls for that kind of advice, please get it separately.

3. Booking and sessions

A complimentary session is a conversation, not an obligation on either side. It's a chance to see if working together makes sense; nothing is owed by either of us at the end of it. If you need to reschedule a paid or complimentary session, email us at assist@mentoringcompass.com and we'll find a new time. We send an appointment reminder by email about 24 hours before a session, and by text as well if you gave SMS consent for that number. The Circle, Micky's private mentorship, is by application and referral only, with a limited number of spots; if you're accepted, the specific terms, schedule, and fees for that engagement are set out separately for you.

4. The Blueprint Vault membership

The Preview tier of The Blueprint Vault is free and available to anyone who signs up. The full Membership is $197 a month, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. You can cancel any time from the members area or by emailing us at assist@mentoringcompass.com; when you cancel, your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for, and we don't give partial-month refunds except where the law requires it. If you believe a charge was made in error, email us and we will review the request case by case. We may change membership pricing going forward, and we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect. Everything in the Vault — the videos, templates, worksheets, and any other content — is licensed to you for your own personal use while you're a member, not for resale, redistribution, or sharing with people who haven't paid for it.

If you're an active Retail & Leadership Partnership client, full Vault access is included in your engagement at no extra charge. That access lasts only as long as the engagement, isn't transferable, and is granted and removed by Micky's office.

Because we log you into the Vault with a link emailed to you rather than a password, keep your email account secure — anyone with access to your inbox can open your Vault.

5. Mobile messaging terms

Our messaging program is called Mentoring Compass text messages. When you opt in on one of our forms, you consent to receive texts about your request, appointment reminders, and, where you asked for them, other updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help or email assist@mentoringcompass.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Opting in is never a condition of buying anything from us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your phone number.

6. The Blueprint Assistant and website chat

Inside the Vault, The Blueprint Assistant answers your questions using Micky's books, Vault courses, and templates. Its answers are generated by AI: they can be wrong, and they are not personal, legal, financial, medical, or HR-compliance advice. There's a fair-use limit of 60 questions a day. The website chat works the same way for visitors, drawing on Micky's approved material and handing you off to her office for anything sensitive.

Please don't share confidential or sensitive information in either one. We may review conversations to improve the assistant's answers and to follow up with you. The assistant is included as part of Membership, and it, and the material it draws on, may change over time.

7. Testimonials and shared experiences

By submitting a tribute through our "Share your experience" form, you confirm it reflects your own genuine experience, that you're at least 18, and that you have the right to share any photo or video you upload. You grant Mentoring Edge LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, display, lightly edit for length or clarity, and reuse your name, title, quote, photo, and video on mentoringcompass.com and in Mentoring Compass marketing, with no payment owed to you. You can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing assist@mentoringcompass.com, and we'll take your tribute down within a reasonable time, though we can't pull it from materials we've already printed.

8. Your account and conduct

If you create a members-area account, give us accurate details and keep your login private. Don't share your access with anyone else, even a colleague or friend who isn't a paying member, and don't scrape, copy, or resell the content inside the Vault. If we see login sharing or scraping, we may suspend the account involved.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this site and inside the Vault — videos, templates, worksheets, books, and everything else — belongs to Mentoring Edge LLC or its licensors. We license it to you for your personal use only; we don't transfer ownership of it to you, and you may not repackage, teach from, or publish our material as your own.

10. Third-party services

We rely on other companies to run parts of this site and our services: Stripe for payments, Twilio for text messages, Bunny.net for video streaming, and Holistically Simple's Scale platform to host and run the site itself. Each of those companies' own terms and privacy practices apply to the part of the service they provide, and we don't control how they run their own systems.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

This site and our services are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent the law allows, Mentoring Edge LLC's total liability to you, for any claim arising from these terms or our services, is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site or the Vault if you breach these terms, including sharing your login or misusing our content. You are free to stop using our services and cancel your membership at any time, as described above.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as our services change. We will post the current version here with its own effective date, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
